FMEA, FMECA, FMEDA, FTA, RBD, HRA Analyses
Find out how to analyze reliability and availability by assessing the failure modes of industrial components
The reliability analysis helps understand how the failure of an individual device can carry over to the entire system and with what consequences.
Reliability analysis is recommended for key devices, the proper operation of which is essential for the availability of the entire system or industrial process.
We are specialized in conducting various methods of reliability and availability analyses on components and systems, including:
- FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), method according to IEC 60812 to analyze the failure mode of a process, product, or system and the related effects on the entire plant
- FMECA (Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis), extension of the FMEA method with the addition of criticality analysis, used to assess the severity of the consequences of a failure
- FMEDA (Failure Modes, Effects and Diagnostic Analysis), analysis according to the IEC 60812 standard based on systematically breaking the product down into its components for which failure rates and effects on safety functions are assessed
- FTA (Fault Tree Analysis), deductive analysis according to the IEC 61025 standard based on studying the combinations of failures that lead to an undesired system status
- RBD (Reliability Block Diagram), technique based on breaking the system down into functional blocks, as indicated by the IEC 61078 standard
- HRA (Human Reliability Analysis), a series of qualitative and quantitative techniques to study human factors and the probability of human error
Our specialized consultants will help you identify risks, proposing tailored solutions based on the most appropriate technique for the type of system being assessed.

Faq
FMECA (Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis) is an analysis technique that expands on the FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), adding analysis of failure modes and relative probability of occurrence to the evidence of weaknesses in a system to assess how severe the consequences of the failure will be.
FMEDA (Failure Modes, Effects and Diagnostic Analysis) is a technique based on systematically analyzing and breaking the product down into its safety-related components in order to identify and classify the failures rates (safe or dangerous, detected or undetected) and the failure modes of each component, the result of which is an estimate of product reliability and its diagnostic capabilities.
FTA (Fault Tree Analysis) is a reliability analysis technique for complex systems conducted using the so-called “fault tree” method, that is, a study on the combination of possible failures and undesirable events in a system.
